Student Life
Chapel Services Chapel services at HGST are a vital part of campus life. Our services embody the heart and soul of the seminary, embracing a diversity of praise and worship. Faculty, students, and guest speakers share reflections on God’s Word, providing participants a spiritual refuge for focusing on their relationship with Christ—our foundation for ministry. Chapel Service Times: Chapel is held every Wednesday from 10:20 to 10:50 a.m., and every other Tuesday and Thursday from 7:30 to 7:45 p.m. Services are open to the public. About Houston

Student Development & Activities The Student Development and Activities Committee at Houston Graduate School of Theology is made up of elected student representatives from each of the three areas of study at HGST. This committee seeks to promote the school’s mission by organizing projects such as work days, outreach activities, helping with HGST educational events, and hosting fellowship activities. Recent accomplishments of the SD&A committee have included a work day project that resulted in renovation of a small church, provision of Thanksgiving and Christmas gifts for needy families, and the hosting of student Christmas parties and other HGST functions. Currently, the SD&A is organizing a workday that will improve conditions at another local church and drafting a Student Code of Conduct to be presented to the faculty for review. The committee seeks to live out the mission of empowering spiritual leadership, and advancing the gospel of Jesus Christ. |
